The Kyocera ECOSYS M2040 family of monochrome laser multifunction printers (MFPs) includes several models, including but not limited to the M2040, M2540 and M2640. Print speeds for the series are all OEM-rated at up to 40 A4-size pages per minute (ppm). Standard functions for all models include print, copy and scan with some models also having fax capabilities.
Several of the Kyocera models are also sold under the brands Olivetti and Utax, and all have the same specifications and features as the Kyocera models. These include but are not limited to the Olivetti d-Copia 4023MF and 4024MF, as well as the Utax P-4020 MFP, P-4025 MFP and P-4026 MFP.
The only supply item is the toner cartridge. However, there is a separate 100,000 page yield drum unit that is part of the maintenance kit, which is non-user replaceable. Replacement toner cartridges are available in yields of 7,200 and 12,000 pages, however, the high yield version is not available in all geographic markets. All yields are based on A4-size pages.
All models in this family ship with a 3,600 page yield starter cartridge, and a chip is required on all toner cartridges for correct printer operation.
